Khurram is Project Manager for Renewables Energy projects at Siddiqsons Energy Limited. He brings with him an experience of more than 14 years in project development and execution; plant operation and maintenance, in the petrochemical and energy sector in Pakistan. Khurram started his career in the Manufacturing Division of Engro Polymers and Chemicals Limited in 2002 and has held variety of role from Group Lead to Business head positions at different organizations. During his career he has worked in areas such as Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Projects and Business Development. Prior to joining Siddiqsons, Khurram was leading the techno commercial team at the New Ventures Division of Engro Powergen Limited.
Khurram completed his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NED in year 2002 and thereon accomplished his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Institute of Business Management with majors in Finance.
Omar Aquib Hasan
Omar is the founder of Sawayra. He works for Schlumberger, the largest Oil and Gas services company in the world. He is currently the Global Quality Manager for Drilling Products and has extensive experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Prior to moving to Schlumberger, Omar worked for General Electric in a variety of roles including Product Development, Field Service, Lean Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering and Plant Management. While working for GE Wind Energy in California, Omar would regularly climb 250 feet to the top of 1.5MW wind turbines and perform troubleshooting. Omar got his bachelors degree, graduating top of his class, from Imperial College, London, and received a Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. He works with Iraqi and Sudanese refugees in Houston and is a volunteer with the Texas prison system. Omar is an avid reader, and is currently learning classical Arabic. He is married, has four children and lives in Sugar Land, Texas.
Aurangzaib is a professional with over 15 years of experience in banking and payments. His leadership and business acumen have won him multiple accolades from his employers. Currently he serves MasterCard as Area Manager for Pakistan and Afghanistan. In this capacity, Mr. Khan manages all aspects of the MasterCard business in these markets and is responsible for rebuilding the brand in Pakistan. Prior to joining MasterCard, Mr. Khan held various key positions across prominent financial institutions including Bank Aljazira, MCB Bank Ltd, VISA International, Bank Alfalah and Standard Chartered Bank. Mr. Khan is also a founder and lead member of the Association of Mortgage Bankers of Pakistan, which was founded in 2010. He holds an MBA from the Asian Management Institute, Pakistan. The institute awarded him with the Citizen of the Year Award in 2005 for his outstanding contribution to humanity in Pakistan.
Naveed is CEO of Lumasonix, a development stage medical imaging company with a focus on breast cancer detection. Prior to starting his own business, Naveed worked at multiple global companies including Intel and 3Com in roles including Engineering Manager and Firmware Development Manager. He has a Masters in Physics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Naveed lives with his wife in Toronto while his three children are grown up and live in California.
Syed Fawad Raza
Fawad is currently Supply Chain Manager at Schlumberger in Houston. Previously, he worked for Honeywell in Minnesota as a Commodity Manager and at Siemens as a Sales Engineer. Fawad received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NED in Karachi and came to the US to received a Masters in Manufacturing Engineering from University of Michigan and Masters in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University. Fawad is active in dawah and outreach in Houston working with various organizations to combat negative stereotypes about Islam and Muslims. An avid cricketer, he plays on club cricket and regularly visits various cities in the United States to participate in matches. His father was a recognized cricket coach in Pakistan and worked closely with likes of Zaheer Abbas and Pakistani cricketers of the 70s.
Maroof has 18 years of engineering, executive management and technology investment experience. Maroof is currently a Senior Partner at Karnybo Group responsible for global investment strategy in late-stage pre-IPO technology companies. Prior to this, he worked at Broadcom Corporation as a senior technical marketing and engineering executive. Before joining Broadcom, he worked at Texas Instruments and Dialogic in various technical and management roles. Maroof has a Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer and has a strong background in signal processing, embedded software design and semiconductors. During his spare time, he enjoys playing squash, cricket and going for hikes. He lives with his wife and two kids in Boston, MA.
